Chris’s experience

Chris Tuffrey has over 17 years’ experience in ISO compliance, spanning consultancy, implementation support, internal training and third-party auditing. As an experienced ISO consultant and auditor, Chris has helped organisations understand, build, implement and maintain effective management systems that work in the real world. 

Chris supports UK-based SMEs across a wide range of Standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 22301 and ISO 22000. He understands the practical challenges businesses face when working towards certification and is focused on making ISO clear, useful and relevant, not overcomplicated. 

As Head of Internal Training and Technical Excellence at Citation ISO Certification, Chris leads the development and delivery of expert internal training. This includes ISO Academy Fundamentals courses and ASCB-accredited Smart Skills courses for internal teams. He also supports the ongoing development of Citation ISO Certification’s technical capability and leads a team of four Technical Specialists. 

Chris is dedicated to taking the complexity out of ISO compliance, giving colleagues and clients the clarity, confidence and practical knowledge they need to succeed. With strong technical expertise, hands-on auditing experience and a people-first approach, Chris is a trusted resource for both internal teams and business owners navigating the certification process.
